Awesome movie and Oddball played his part as the WW2 hippie tank commander (it was that kind of movie). His best quote:
“Crazy… I mean like, so many positive waves… maybe we can’t lose, you’re on!”
Moriarty and his damned negative waves!
“To a New Yorker like you, a hero is some type of weird sandwich, not some nut who takes on three Tigers.”
##Kelly’s Heroes
Hilarious WWII movie!
Woof, woof, woof.
That’s my other dog imitation.
A superb character, Donald Sutherland nailed it. “Drinking wine, catching some rays”
“I only ride them. I don’t know what makes them work.”
Oddball was the unofficial mascot of our armor platoon while in Iraq. He’s a dude everyone should aspire to become, especially in a warzone.
Ironic because he is Canadian.
I maybe wrong but i remember seeing something about Sutherland and startig his acting career. In Dirty Dozen, his character is asked to pretend to be a General and inspect some troops. His original lines were to just walk through and not say much, but he ad libbed the line “They look pretty, but can they fight”. This was so good they left it in the movie and gave him the kick start of his career.
Woof Woof
This movie looks awesome. What’s it called?
brilliant movie
Not 1.6 million. 16 million.
A Sherman can give you a nice edge.
60 feet of bridge I can pick up just about anywhere.
So many good quotes.
When I first moved to Scotland, a lot of folks called me Oddball and started talking about my negative waves and I had ZERO idea what the heck they were talking about. I bear a passing resemblance to Donald Sutherland but I’d never seen the movie. It was hilarious. Great film once I got a chance to see it and then I was like “Ooohh, I get it.”
Now I know where they based the character for Jef Spicoli from.
Except he’s Canadian.
Decapitated by an 88mm cannon from a German Tiger tank? That’s a great shot if you manage to take the head off and somehow not blow their entire body apart!
