Christmas in the big city hits different. I worked the midnight shift on Christmas Eve at a local Walgreens when I first moved out, and it was the most magical things ever, you could literally sence it in the air. Everyone is so unusually friendly, even the drug dealers and crackheads. It remains one of the best and most unusual Christmas memories I have.
