Can someone tell me what could’ve caused this? This is the inside of the hardcover of my ps4. I bought a second hand one and it looks like this is the first time it’s going to be cleaned. I don’t understand where did those scratches come from

Well I’m gonna guess it’s the original owners
Looks like there was a sticker or label there and someone has scratched it off then cleaned it with solvent
Whoever owned it before was doing something with it. Not sure what that panel is but maybe they tried to get into it or tried to clean something off of it.
I haven’t opened up my PS4 ever, so I don’t know for sure, but that looks like there was a sticker there? The scratches look like someone has scraped it off with some kind of hard edge, like a screwdriver or something.
They were buried….ALIVE
The mouse that powers it tried to escape.
Either a small child or someone who has no respect for electronics did that.
Jesus christ….
Way too irregular to me caused by anything but a person.
If it was a sticker it was definitely destroyed by that amount of scraping so it wasn’t about getting the sticker. Also I can’t see someone who did this bothering to clean it with solvent it looks like they might have totally remove the sticker by scratching and the only bits that appear without a scratch were parts where he sticker lifted cleanly.
My guess is since it’s also on the mold line at the top of the picture that it might have been scraped down at the factory to make a passable part.
Someone really wanted in
You bought it second hand. I can only think of one person who could have done this. This is no way from the factory or normal use.
At work rn, but I’ll open mine up and check when I get home
looks like someone trying to scrape away raised bits of plastic from the mold or something, doesn’t look like sticker removal at all to me
There is no sticker on the inside! as far as I remember every PS4 I Opened over the years had some sort of weird scratches or weird marks on the plastic inside.
You’ve been playing dark souls 2- that game is haunted AF
He wants out. Let him out
Looks like someone tried to scrape down the raised bits of the part.
The only rational explanation is that ghosts did it
A bit of very fine metal sand paper and a polish afterwards it’s going to make it like new. You can do it with a dremel set.
