I like my PS5 but the UI looks like an ass wrapped in a butt.
I’m still rocking that Mirror’s Edge theme on my PS4 pro. It’s so nice.
I can’t believe Sony is just ignoring PS5 here.

Man I miss all the cool themes I had on PS4, I think the PS5 UI is okay but I really would like ways to personally customize
The issue is the ps5 UI is designed around each game having a background on the main menu because the icons are tiny, cards, trophies and dlc also cover a large portion of the screen
Agreed. This less than subtle progression into constant advertising on your screen, sucks
100% agreed. The Whole UI is kinda tricky. Took me forever to find my downloads notifications. Also enough with the ads. I’m getting Sims Expansion pack ads on my main screen and I don’t even own The Sims..
While we’re at it, add back media player.

First thing I tried to do when I got my PS5, googled, and was disappointed.
I’ve owned a PS5 since it’s launch and absolutely miss this feature from PS4.
Just last week I’ve bought an Xbox Series X and the amount of customization you can do is insane.
Customizable UI colors, themes, profile, and you can even upload your own wallpapers with a usb thumbstick. I’m a Sony fanboy I guess, but they really need to step it up.
While I loved themes the themes we got were few and far between. Searching for a theme was a chore
I loved that Tifa theme. Best version of the song too. Same with the Midgard theme playing Aerith’s song.
Afrika theme for PS3 was the best!

They should give us an option to use the ps4 ui
Once I got the Undertale theme I don’t think I ever removed it. Great music and a awesome 8bit rotating purple castle. Top tier. Flame and the flood also had such a great animated theme.

The JP Ps plus jellyfish theme is my favorite. First thing i did with my jailbroken ps4s is install all of the themes!

Sony and Nintendo both need to do more in terms of UI and customization. PS5s lack of themes is disappointing but atleast we have the custom backgrounds when hovering over certain games. On the Switch, the background options are white or a dark gray. That’s it…
It’s boring and makes me somewhat less interested in even booting it up sometimes.
Can we please complain about the lack of important features, like the possibility of having save backups without paying for a subscription service that I don’t need?
In an industry that love to monetize everything under the sun that used to be free I don’t understand why they got rid of something people would actually pay for.
I bought two butterfingers for that Tifa theme and I can’t even use it on my PS5, chocolate has betrayed me.
99% of the themes on the store were complete trash.
I ended using the Firewatch theme because it was simple and relaxing, even though I never played the game.
And the Internet browser.. I want my Ace Combat 7 themes available for my PS5
