That drum is either a dumbek or a darbuka. Bongos have a much less metallic resonant sound and are always in a pair of one larger on smaller drum.
This guy doesn’t have fingers, he has prehensile calluses.
I read somewhere that Tomas Haake actually had to *learn* how to play the drums for this track. It began as an exercise with ToonTracks and he had to re-approach his position on the drum set regarding his feet and how to sit back, relax, and allow his feet to fall into the rhythm. It was something he couldn’t *force*, but instead had to *ride along* with.
