Gorgeous song. But on a side note, what’s going on in that photo? Is that a horse up a tree?
First picture of The Predator and his caught prey.

His Name is Alive, Stars on ESP album uses this song and theme a few times on that album. Worth a listen.
there’s a good version of this on the soundtrack for the game Kentucky Route Zero! A bunch of other folky/bluegrass songs too. The photo used in this video reminds of the game too, oddly enough.
Anyone find this version of the song on Spotify? The one listed under Bill Monroe is much newer/more polished version.
On the topic of Bill Monroe, folks might enjoy this recent collaboration between Billy Strings and Trey Anastasio on [I’m Blue, I’m Lonesome](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_LTdmEZ_WY).
I’m guessing Tom Waits was paying tribute to this song in the lyrics to “Come on Up to the House.”
Saw Bill & his band in Dallas late one night 3 decades ago. Bill was a bit Punk: sometimes he’d try and mess up other’s solos.
My friend’s high school buddies were the opening band, 2 sisters leaving the very next day to try and make it in Nashville: *The Dixie Chicks*.
couple o’ ol’ timey boys
Great song have had it on my playlist for a year now, although a newer version
That was great–thanks for posting!
Don’t mind if I do.
