Also, I wanted to share my experiences so far.
The Tegalland Rice terrace was awesome. My first thoughts before arriving were that is exactly all it would be: **a terrace to look at the rice fields**. That was far from true and my expectations were really beat. You actually get to go on a trek across the rice fields and see the people working on the fields. While there are people at the fields trying to sell you things every now and then it really does not take away from the experience of feeling lost in nature for a while. We managed to get lost for real, after stepping off the actual path and had to get creative to get out by climbing up the the rice paddies ( we did not walk in the paddies or dammage the rice, there are paths around the rice that we climbed up). At the time we went, the area was still suffering from the effects of COVID and a lot of the businesses had closed down but we did find a really nice cafe called TIS cafe. The prices (I feel were a little more aimed at tourists) were reasonable considering the location.
Once we were finished we made our way to do some white water rafting, which I have to say had been the highlight of the adventure for me. Even though it was a little difficult to find and the guy on the phone was a bit sketchy on actually giving us the location, he ended up meeting us and we followed him on our motorbikes to the location (It was a little weird as the place was a very public and open business, so we was not too sure what the initial sketchyness was about). The course was 12km and took 2 hours. You have an instructor in the boat with you and he was really encouraging and just added an extra level of fun to the whole thing.
I really hope you like the video.
Anyone else find the faces in that thumbnail deeply disturbing?
