Ahh, that soundtrack always gives me goosebumps!
This trailer has a lot of heart.
I always lied/loved the first one, so ican’t wait for this one.
But dear god, the CGI, this shit looks real
”I *sea* you, Jake Sully.”
Sigourney Weaver is supposed to be playing a 14 year old but I’m sorry she doesn’t sound it at all…
There’s a first. The official trailer and it’s NOT posted by one of those bots.
Cameron has a solid track record with sequels. My body is ready.
Pretty emotional trailer. And the visuals are insane. I think Cameron will do it again.
Also need thedigitaltheater.com to put out 4K and 3D versions, just like the the first teaser.
This is basically going to be Mr. Cameron’s $300m *wet* dream
We’ve got sinking ships (Titanic), mechs (Aliens), skull-crushing (Terminator) and a whole fucking lot of water.
It’s so cool Sam Worthington was able to get his shifts off from Arby’s to shoot these movies.
Any way to watch this without YouTube’s horrendous compression?
I am worried about Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) after watching the trailer.
I wonder if she is going to die and become the one with the way of the water or (the Avatar Ecosystem) and then the dialogue about their daughter feeling her heartbeat in Pandora’s ecosystem.
Absolutely stunning trailer.
Without any irony — it’s really been fascinating to watch the general perception of this release turn from “no cultural impact” to “never doubt JC.”
Obviously a different type of bet than Maverick was this year, but the sheer spectacle of the film is really going to bring in droves. Can’t wait.
The shots are clear, brightly lit, crisp, passionately composed. Feels like I’m back in the early 2000s when they actually tried with big sci fi. Thanks James.
I was so certain that I’d never feel what those early The Force Awakens teasers made me feel. Thank goodness I was wrong.
This movie is made for iMAX 3D
Well that looks gorgeous. 😍
Is this movie gonna give me Pandora depression too?
Looks good and boring at the same time
The year is 2022, we see CGI and visual effects heavy, action spectacle movies with cutting-edge technologies made for glorious, large format Imax and Dolby Cinema screens.
Still no trailers in 4K though, can’t have that.
This looks fucking expensive.
Is it just me or does the CGI of the characters look a little… dated? The environment looks fantastic however.
It looks good (visually) and more interesting than the first Avatar.
I didn’t *hate* Avatar, I just found it (outside of visuals) to be slow and just kind of… there.
When I watch the first Avatar movie in theaters someone pooped in the aisle. Everyone had to leave and the manager refund our tickets.
As a movie fan in general, and based on James Cameron’s track record, I will of course be seeing this movie, probably opening weekend.
BUT… this trailer didn’t do anything to get me excited for the movie. It kind of seems like the same thing as t he first one with kids. “You’re an outsider, we don’t accept you, oh no the evil alien Americans are coming to destroy our magical world because they don’t understand it.”
Like I said, it’s James Cameron. His results can’t be denied, and on a big screen/IMAX/3D, it should be visually stunning. My fear is if the story doesn’t catch people, and the 3D isn’t as revolutionary as the first one, this might underperform, maybe messing with the future movies.
I’m going to see the movie and will reserve judgement until then, but I don’t know if this trailer gets many more people to the theater than were already planning on seeing the movie.
I love it when billionaires let me watch their pet projects to fund their deep sea diving
The movie looks visually stunning, but I cannot shake the feeling I have absolutely no interest in any of the characters at all.
Would you call this an animated movie?
I mean it looks pretty, I just…feel nothing. I was totally indifferent prior and this did nothing to move the needle in either direction.
