I suspect that Valve knows that the third in a trilogy often disappoints.
If the story isn’t fleshed out from beginning to end, you’re going to run into some issues.
What’re they going to do with the story since the end of Episode 2 was retconned by Alex?
How do you deal with a timeline now that it has been introduced that any decision we make can be undone?
Is the finale going to be preventing the cascade event from happening in the first place?
We don’t know… but we keep talking about it.
And I think Valve knows that too.
