They couldn’t have worked to release this before the Oscars?
I missed it when it was at a film festival in my city back in the fall but I got to see this back in December when it was released in theaters and really liked it. I found it very engaging. The activism documented in this film actually made a difference and caused major museums in several countries to change how they deal with donations and influence from wealthy patrons.
I saw this last year and I loved it. Provided I’ve been a fan of her work for years now and have seen The Ballad projected before, but I didn’t realize how exactly traumatic her experiences were beyond what I’ve seen and read about.
Watched this earlier this year, really interesting look at not just the Opiods epidemic but queer culture during the AIDS crisis
