What am I looking at?
Ha, thought it was a computer chip at first.
[deleted]
Not alot of room to grow mm?
I feel it’s more a visualization of ceremonial power
Lol! Thought this was a realistic map of Link to the Past!!
Hey it’s a picture of our lord and savior.
Rimworld?
And just think we ain’t nothin but a bunch a energy circulating the power strip, going from a to b in our daily lives powering the machine
I’ve been there and it’s awesome
And here I thought it was a picture of Factorio
Eh, no pool
Lol what a misguided title
Intel’s next gen 7nm process.
Quit looking at my motherboard like that
It bugs my OCD to no end that it isn’t perfectly aligned to the cardinal directions.
absolute authoritarianism more like it
Template for Oxygen Not Included base layout
I visited there 2005. Was amazing to walk the entire length.
Remember when Tony Stark’s dad built that city that was a blueprint for a new element? Congrats to the kid whose dad left this semiconductor blueprint.
It always looks like a circuit board to me.
Been there. Separate entrances for locals and tourists. Tourist entrance is lined with vendors hounding you. Four times while inside we were harassed to go into private rooms to view art we were being pressured to buy. Oh, and there’s a Starbucks in it. Capitalism is alive and well in The Forbidden City.
The Forbidden City in China is said to have 9,999 rooms. Why? Because only Heaven can have 10,000 rooms.
he crazy thing is the size. The most popular picture of the forbidden city is the one with Mao and thats located at the bottom of this picture.
Intel Pentium inside
Looks like an old Command & Conquer map.
There is no war in ba sing se
Look a macro-chip
All the right angles made me initially think this was Roman. Am I wrong or up at the top are the outer walls and the inner walls on slightly different alignments? That seems odd.
When I visited, I was told that one of the purposes of the Forbidden City was to overawe barbarians. Speaking as a barbarian, it still works.
Can it run Doom though?
I found this place on goggle maps about 20 years ago randomly. I know it’s in China.
Forbidden power
Is this China’s forbidden city? Great photo!
Ngl I thought it was character inventory/gear for an arpg
Is that Ba Sing Se?
Pictured here is the largest sweat shop command center in the world.
It took me a lot longer than it should have to realize I’m not looking at some weirdly modded Rimworld screenshot.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely
I hear it corrupts, absolutely.
I expected the Forbidden City to be peaceful and reverential. But found it, like most other famous places in mainland China, horribly overrun with massive volumes of people and generally mismanaged. Don’t even get me started about climbing up a steep section of the Great Wall and finding a vendor stand selling cheap trinkets and Coca-Cola. “Bu yao” (No! I don’t want it!) was the most helpful bit of Mandarin I learned to battle the relentless street vendors eveyrwhere.
I don´t know if this some kind of microchip or a bombed Ukranian city
Wiki has a legend on the purpose of each building https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbidden_City#/media/File:Forbidden_city_map_wp_1.png
Is this the forbidden city in China?
RTX 5000 series
Isn’t this the Hidden City/Forbidden City in China?
I’ve been there – it’s bigger than you might think by looking at it (as with everything in Beijing) – things that look close on the map, even on the subways or on the ring-roads, we’re exceptionally far away.
If only it were all an underground unbombable bunker, then maybe then……
Ironically it also resembles a prison.
Is that the new Intel chip?
