This needs to be printed in every library in America.
Republicans are Nazi sympathizers, using similar tactics and words, and pushing the same christofascist ideals in attempting to overthrow the democratic government.
I was forced to read the book thief and had a long discussion about this because it is a large part of the book
I like how they drew it to faintly resemble a brick wall
Send this to Florida.
Not even a generation later, the government would burn the books of Dr. Wilhelm Reich.
Americans be like: I’m completely okay with letting the fascists win, I’ll just pretend that things will get better.
The right is unarmed in the war of ideas and they want everyone else to be as well.

“Dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen.” Heinrich Heine wrote this in 1823, his books were among those burned by the Nazi’s.
Translation: where they burn books, they will in the end also burn people.
As someone who studies ancient history I wish it were true that books never died… would make research a lot easier
[Here](https://i.imgur.com/Nf935z6.jpg) is a higher quality version of this image. According to [here](https://www.digitalcommonwealth.org/search/commonwealth:ft848t455):
> **Title:** Books are weapons in the war of ideas
> **Description:** Poster of Nazis burning books, with quotation by Franklin D. Roosevelt on a large book in the background: “Books cannot be killed by fire. People die, but books never die. No man and no force can put thought in a concentration camp forever. No man and no force can take from the world the books that embody man’s eternal fight against tyranny. In this war, we know, books are weapons.” Poster produced by the United States Office of War Information (OWI) for distribution to libraries and book stores.

It should have ‘**Hey Republicans:**’ at the top – it could be used today.
Thousands of the books burned by the Nazis came from the library of [Dr Magnus Hirschfeld’s](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnus_Hirschfeld) *Institut für Sexualwissenschaft,* a sexology research centre that pioneered a ton of research into gender and sexuality. Hirschfeld was at the forefront of the campaign for gay and trans rights and his library of gender and sexuality research was by far the most extensive of its kind in the world when the Nazis burned it all.
Take note of who they came for first when you look at how things stand today.
Yes. Censorship is bad! Right Canada??
Harry Potter rules!
Print this and post it everywhere. And hopefully that keeps the liberals from trying to change history
Weird, it’s like books are the guns of the ‘left’, and the ‘right’ is taking away the guns…
