I’m not worried about the planet or the survival of our species, I worry about the loss of our knowledge.

We are literally star-stuff, in a very real sense we’re the universe figuring itself out. That’s insane to think about and we’ve figured out so much. It would be a colossal waste for it all to just vanish. I don’t really care if homo sapiens sticks around, as long as Something can keep carrying the torch.

I am all for the AI singularity. Can’t get me uploaded quickly enough. Even if it’s not “us”, our knowledge and patterns of thought could be preserved to keep the research going.

George Carlin was such a fucking genius. Not just his comedic genius, he could explain subjects like this in a way no one ever could and he actually made sense. I don’t think anyone will ever compare to George Carlin.
