It’s shitty AI color.. you can tell by the psychedelic chip that shifts colours in a gradient fashion like you looked into the sun ( in the first shot)
As someone not from the United States I don’t understand why this movie is so popular or even interesting (no offense, I just don’t get it. Must be a cultural thing?). Why does it appeal to so many people? Does it invoke some sort of familiarity with the store and your first job or something? Can someone enlighten me please?
Thanks, I hate it.
Crazy to see it in color, but I think it works more in B&W.
Forgot how young everyone was, especially Mewes. Looks like he just skipped last period to go hang out with his hetero life-partner.
Randal… what a man.
Nope
I’d watch this movie 36 times in a row.
It would feel like watching all over again, why not!
Blasphemy
The color of that salsa disturbs me.
Thanks for the nostalgia. That film really was a masterpiece ahead of its time.

I still can’t believe the studio execs wanted to replace jay with Seth Green for Mallrats.
I forgot how common the word “f*gg*t” was in the 90s-early 2000s 😂 it feels dangerous to use today.
That would be kinda neat if he did clerks 3 in b&w.
I forget it was even in B&W, crazy.
ewww
Now that’s cursed.
It’s missing the ambient light. Add some (to.tje guy who added the color but forgot the light)
What’s next? Casablanca in technicolor? /s
I suspect whoever colorized this may have some sort of color blindness. The color palette looks odd.

but why
I like this. It makes it seem even more like a shittily lit, low budget venture with the B&W artifice removed.
Would prefer to watch it this way if given the option.
