Fun fact, This image is from the movie [Wargames](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WarGames), which released on June 3, 1983. The premise of the Wargames movie is that a super computer controlling the US nuclear weapons glitches out and thinks there’s an incoming attack. And in a strangely similar situation to that movie, but in real life, on 26 September 1983, a russian commander [got warnings from their computers that the US launched 5 nuclear ballistic missiles at the USSR.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanislav_Petrov) He correctly surmised the warnings were glitches, because why would the US only launch 5, and did not pass the warning up the chain of command because he knew his commanders would retaliate. It’s quite likely he saved the world from a nuclear WW3 that day.
