He grew up to become a tuba.
‟Queen’s own Hussars”
‟Shit is so fncy i need a second monocle”
I like how the colour stops in the room he is in, and is just gry scale outside.
Pros:
Great at turning a phrase.
A wicked sense of humor.
Saved the world in 1940.
Cons:
A 19th Century man in the 20th Century.
Proudly Imperialist and racist.
Wrong on Gallipoli.
Wrong on the gold standard.
Wrong on Gandhi.
Wrong on most things throughout a long life.
A net positive impact on the world? You make the call.
The key to happiness is low expectations
Back when being “groomed” had a different connotation.
morphing into a fat racist drunk in 5..4..3..2..
Say what you like about Churchill he was there for Britain when it counted, fat lot of good it’s done 70 years later unfortunately.
Wrong sub.
…and against a formidable enemy he led his nation to victory with words.
Tough Bloke
For a brief moment in time, Winston Churchill was hot.
Indians to the left of me, Indians to the right of me …
Now THIS is some old school cool! Refreshing to see something here other than someone’s hot grandma for a change!
Is this a painting?
A lot of shitting on Churchill these days, but everyone today in the Western world owes this man a debt of gratitude.
You know what you are? You’re one of those little fancy lads, aren’t ya?
From 1895 to 1899 (while Victoria was Queen), Churchill served actively in the British Army in Cuba, India, and Sudan. In 1899, in South Africa, during the Second Boer War, he was captured as a prisoner of war. He escaped prison and evaded his captors by stowing away aboard freight trains and hiding in a mine. He eventually made it to safety in Portuguese East Africa.
why the clothes gotta look so goofy though
When you gotta oppress the colonies at 4 but have a dinner with high society at 6
He was constantly shitfaced and was still a better leader than anyone today.
could he have chosen between vanilla cornet or chocolate cornet or they chose for him?
for me it’s always a tough choice
bravo to whoever colorized that photo
Does he have different colored eyes?
Is there life on Mars?
The zero knowledge of history brigade always reveal their ignorance on posts about Churchill.
Queens braid brigade.
Winston Churchill‘s autobiography my early years is an absolute must read. Riveting.
